Airtel Payments Bank, HPCL collaborate for digital payments

India’s first payments bank Airtel Payments Bank and HPCL have joined hands to boost digital payments on their platforms.

Airtel Payments Bank customers will now be able to make secure digital payments for fuel purchases at over 887 HPCL fuel stations across UP East region.

These fuel outlets would also act as banking points for Airtel Payments Bank and offer account opening, cash deposit and withdrawal facilities to customers.

On buying fuel through Airtel Payments Bank, 0.75% cash back is also received by the customer.

The cashless payments can be made via smartphones (MyAirtel App) as well as feature phones (USSD), while no transaction fee is charged from customers.

Airtel payments Bank’s bouquet of innovative services include, digital banking, paperless account opening, customer’s mobile number is his/her bank account number, interest rate of 7.25% per annum is fetched in savings bank accounts, the highest in India etc.

Besides, free personal accidental insurance of Rs one lakh is also provided with every savings bank account.

The customer gets an online debit card in partnership with MasterCard. The Bank has a nationwide digital payments ecosystem with over three million merchants on board.
