Yogi in Mauritius to charm NRIs, investors…

Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath today arrived in the island nation Mauritius for his three-day state visit to woo NRIs and investors and sell ‘Brand UP’.

 

Mauritius becomes the second foreign country after Myanmar to host Yogi post his elevation as the CM on March 19, 2017.

 

This evening, Yogi is slated to meet Mauritian prime minister Pravind Kumar Jugnauth. Tomorrow, he would address the 183rd anniversary of Aapravasi Divas as chief guest and talk to the NRIs and investors.

 

He would present the broad contours of UP industrial policy and incentives promised for investors.

 

Recently, the representatives of about two dozen marquee US companies viz. Boeing, Adobe, Facebook, Uber, Honeywell, Coca Cola, Mastercard, P&G, Oracle, GE Health, Monsanto, Medtronic, Cargill, Azure etc had meet Yogi here and explored investment opportunities. The meet was held under the aegis of US-India Strategic Partnership Forum (USISPF).

 

Situated in the Indian Ocean, Mauritius is reckoned for economic competitiveness, congenial investment climate and good governance. It has a free economy and conducive investment policy stance.

 

In recent months, Yogi has been meeting the official representatives of several nations and discussed issues of investment. He has underlined that UP has the potential to leverage its large population and market
