The External affairs minister Sushma Swaraj said on Tuesday that she had spoken to Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath over a alleged racial attack on African students in Greater Noida, and assured assuring immediate and impartial action on the matter.
Earlier, a Nigerian student tweeted to Union minister Sushma Swaraj that “living for us in Noida is becoming a life threatening issue.”, to which she responded saying, I have spoke to Uttar Pradesh chief minister Adityanath this morning about the incident, and assured the student, Sadiq Bello, that the government “will take immediate action.”
CM Adityanath said he will conduct a fair and impartial investigation into the incident, Swaraj tweeted.
