The new budget Moto G5 has been launched today at an event in New Delhi. The Moto G5 Plus was recently launched in the country for a starting price of Rs 14,999 in March. The company had purposely kept quiet about the more affordable Moto G5 handset back then and barely just 15 days of the launch of the Plus variant, the Moto G5 launch date in India was announced.
Last year, both the Moto G4 and G4 Plus was launched together in the country in May for a starting price of Rs 13,499.
There is very negligible difference between the Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus. Coming to the price, the Moto G5 is priced at Rs 11,999. Now, for those who have already purchased the costlier Moto G5 Plus recently, the cheaper Moto G5 might be a disappointment.
While the Moto G5 offers a 5-inch Full HD IPS LCD display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection, the Moto G5 Plus is slightly bigger at 5.2-inch with same display features. Both the smartphones were first unveiled globally at MWC 2017 in February.
